Senior Software Engineer, Back-End
ImageBrief is looking for stellar Ruby/RoR developers in Sydney/New York to take our product to the next level. As a back-end engineer joining our insanely talented development team, you will be responsible for implementation of mission critical features, shaping (collaboratively with the team) the direction of the product, testing and performance tuning. We have an ambitious product roadmap that will roll out some very interesting and large new builds including subscription services, api based search interface, cloud storage and an online marketplace and payments.
At ImageBrief, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn and expand your skill set while collaborating with other outstanding engineers, and you'll play an active role in executing the company's vision and define our culture.
We use Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, jQuery, HAML, Sass, Git and Amazon services.
Skills & RequirementsWe need a rock star developer who:
- has minimum 3+ years commercial Ruby experience
- has preference for jQuery, Haml and Sass
- has experience with MongoDB
- write well-tested code
- enjoys working in a collaborative agile environment
- has the ability to prioritize and make decisions without needing to be micromanaged
- experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Auto Scaling and Load Balancing)
- DevOps experience
